SERVICES
Personal Coaching
The analysis of the unconscious mind would have healed the world by now if understanding the deep causes and roots of our suffering alone was enough to stop them. Because we are more than purely analytical minds, and because we are complex and multifaceted beings (physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual), verbal and analytical work alone cannot transform what escapes our conscious control. Our insomnia, somatic suffering, some of our illnesses, emotions, sources of anxieties, etc., do not fail to remind us that we are not just rational beings.
Based on this perspective, my individual coaching approach is holistic and taps into all of our dimensions and resources (cognitive, social, emotional, creative, physical, spiritual) to reconnect them with one another in order to create a connection with our inner-selves, and reprogram our cognitive and emotional circuits and behaviors.

Professional Coaching
Before I became a therapist in France and a coach in the US, I used to work in the corporate world. I have therefore witnessed the professional, organizational and sometimes emotional challenges that one could face in their career. Although professional lives can be successful and fulfilling, they can also become a great source of anxiety and suffering.
My goal here is to help my clients understand the deeper roots of the challenges they are facing, and how to overcome them based on their own knowledge and resources. To create customized and creative systems and organizational processes that fit their true self and set goals.

Around the Self

Organizational Coaching
Clutter, distraction and confusion can lead to chaos, both internal and external. If a lot of our external “mess” has internal sources, my approach addresses these challenges both emotionally (roots) and externally (organization) thanks to a collaborative approach and creative tools.
Parental Support
Every parent, at some point, faces challenges and struggles when it comes to their parenthood. Seeking support is a sign of courage and lucidity.
B.C. or Before Children, we bear the idea that parenting is rooted in the connection between the intuitive knowledge of what is right, and unconditional love. As parents, we have to navigate between our own unresolved past traumas and childhood anxieties, and the heightened emotions and challenges our children are facing daily. Our past therefore informs and nurtures our responses to our present challenges as a parent.
My work with parents is based on attachment theory principles and parental responsiveness core values. I meet the parents exactly where they are on their parenting journey, tapping into their strength, and understanding their unique vulnerabilities in order to instore or restore a balance within the parental entity and within the parent-child bond.

Around Families
Family coaching
My approach is designed on the idea that each family is a unique dynamic system (based on Bowen’s family systems theory). The connectedness and reactivity occurring in each family system create an interdependent functioning of each family member. A change in one member’s ways or behavior is predictably followed by reciprocal changes in the functioning of others.
Based on this theory, I approach family as both a whole entity with its own identity, culture and ways; and a complex web of interconnected members, whose interactions gather unique challenges and resources.

Perinatal guidance
Having a baby carries with it a societal implicit load: it is supposed to be one of the most magical, fulfilling and happiest moment of our lives.
Although this might be true, it is rarely the full picture of what conception, pregnancy and postpartum truly are.
Numerous emotional challenges can occur, and with them, their lot of guilt, grievances and anxieties. Seeking help in these difficult times is a precious gift you grant yourself, your couple and your future mother-child relationship.

BACKGROUND

ZOÉ MESSINGER

After a master's degree in Cultural Communication and a decade spent among prestigious Parisian companies, health and personal issues led me to reflect on my life choices and reconsider the meaning and direction I wanted to give to my professional path.
Years ago, I began a holistic therapeutic journey allowing me to heal and free myself from a lot of old patterns. Shortly after, my calling became clear: I was going to become a therapist.
After 5 years of training coupled with a specialization in child and family counseling, I finally graduated from the French school of Biodynamic Psychology*, one of the main European schools of psychotherapy and mind – body therapy, accredited by the EABP (European Association of Psycho-corporal Therapy). This demanding 5-year training school, followed by a dissertation, is part of a trend created by the Norwegian, Gerda Boyesen, herself inspired by the work of Freud and Wilhelm Reich.
I then started working as a therapist in Paris. I was welcoming children, parents, families, pregnant and post-partum women on one-on-on or group therapy sessions in my cabinet. I was also offering individual therapy sessions, online or in-person.
After our son’s birth, my husband and I decided to go back to the States. Shortly after that, I opened my own individual and family Coaching Maison in the Hamptons. My former therapy practice in Paris, coupled with my French cultural background led me to develop my own personal way of coaching and guiding individual, families and parents through challenging times and transformative processes.
